Dr Karrar has been Principal/Sub Investigator on many clinical studies conducted at AAMRC since joining the team in 2010. He is credited with extensive research publications and presentations since 1993. Dr. Ali Karrar attended the University of Khartoum in Sudan where he received his Masters Degree in Internal Medicine. He completed a fellowship in Rheumatology from Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center/Rush University, Chicago, Illinois (1998-2000). He also completed Rheumatology training at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (1992-1996). Dr. Karrar is board certified in both Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Rheumatology and the Royal College Physicians (United Kingdom). He was awarded the Distinguished Resident Award in 1998 at Hurley Medical Center. He has been in private practice since 2000.
